The Detective Michael Morgan Jr. Foundation was created in September 2012 as a non-profit organization to honor the memory of Newark Police Detective Mike Morgan who at the young age of 32 sacrificed his life doing what he did best; protecting others. The primary goal of this foundation is not only to assist the families of Fallen Hero's but to aid in the well-being of any ill living Emergency Response personnel (Police Fire and EMS) and their families. The secondary goal is to provide scholarships to student athletes; Det. Morgan was an All-Star athlete and leader who believed in the importance of participating in sports while demonstrating strong values in sportsmanship. As this foundation evolves our ultimate objective is to give back to the community as Detective Morgan would have by creating programs to encourage and empower inner city children. We are committed to keeping the legacy of Detective Michael Morgan Jr. alive.
