Florida USSSA
Fastpitch, USSSA of SWFL, '01 FL Lady Angels and '01 Lakeland Pride are
hosting a fundraising tournament at Christina Park in Lakeland for the Blake Appleton Foundation.
Founded
in
honor of Blake "Blakey" Appleton, a 9-year-old boy with a bright loving
smile who succumbed to cancer in May 2012, the B.A.F. is a volunteer
operated non-profit organization that provides toys to hospitalized
children and support to families who are battling childhood illness and
have a unique combination of medical and financial needs.

All
donations
and proceeds after expenses and fees from the weekend will go to the
Blake Appleton Foundation. All USSSA directors and umpires are donating
their fees back to the B.A.F.
