The Columbus Mariners are excited to extend an invitation to you and your team to play in our sixth annual baseball tournament. We have 10 topnotch fields that have either agri-lime or anglea turf soil conditioner for the playing surface. We have had great feedback on our previous tournaments and this year will be no different. Enclosed you will find a registration form team roster form T-Shirt order form and Columbus motel list. This is a USSSA state-qualifying tournament! Due to the demand for our tournament we are expanding the number of teams. Each age division will consist of 2 five-team pools. Every team is guaranteed to play four (4) games. Pool play will determine the top two teams in each pool. Medal games will be played by pitting the top two teams in each pool with a team with like seed from the opposite pool to play for 1st and 3rd place. There will be 5 age divisions: 9-10 year old 11 year old 12 year old 13 year old and 14 year old. Registration deadline is April 1 2004. This tournament is filled on a first come first serve basis and will be limited to the first 10 teams in each age division. Some teams may be required to play on Friday night in order to complete the tournament at a reasonable time on Sunday.
