All Teams are guaranteed 4 games Weather Permitting.  In the event of Weather Delays or Postponement, games may be shortened, and Loser Bracket may be eliminated in order to establish a tournament champion. If the tournament is completely rained out, a $100.00 fee will be charged.

One complete game constitutes a tournament.  Every effort will be made to complete the tournament

Rules may be subject to change at the discretion of the Tournament Director in the case of inclement weather.  It is the responsibility of each Manager to stay in contact with the Site Director in the case of play disruption. Please check boards for updated information in these cases.

 

All Team Managers must check-in at least one hour prior to first Pool Game.

Teams must present Proof of Insurance, Signed Team Rosters.

Birth certificates must be available on request

TOURNAMENT RULES

 

1. 2023-4 USSSA Rules apply / Line-Up sheets to be filled out completely with full names and numbers

 

1. Pool Play: Seven Inning games with No New Inning starting after a time limit of 75 minutes.

• Pool Play games CAN end in a tie.
• Home team will be decided by a coin flip.
• There are no dugout assignments, first come first served.
• In Pool Play: Bat 9 or more of rostered players (Free defensive substitution for every player in batting order)
  • (If batting all of roster and player gets injured, player will not post an out in batting order)

 

• Courtesy Runners – A courtesy runner will be allowed for the pitcher and catcher at any time.

 The courtesy runner can either be:

 

1) A substitute on the bench that has not “officially” entered the game. 

2) If there are no substitutes, the player that made the last batted out must be the courtesy runner.

3) The same courtesy runner may not run for both the pitcher and catcher in the same inning.

Pool Standings Sorted on the following:

 

1. Winning Percentage – Descending
2. Number of Wins – Descending
3. Number of Loses – Ascending
4. Tied Teams (vs. each other) Winning Pct – Descending (Not valid if all tied teams have not played each other)
5. Avg Points Allowed – Ascending
6. Ave Run Differential with a maximum of (8) – Descending
7. USSSA Points – Descending
8. Date Team Entered USSSA Database

   • International tie breaker in effect if tied at the end of time limit or after seven innings.
   • The higher seed is home team.If teams are the same seed, a coin flip will determine home team.
   • In the championship game the high seed still is home (even if coming from loser brackets).
   • If a What if Game is needed (both teams have a loss), home team will be determined by a coin flip.
   • There are no dugout assignments, first come first served.

2. Run Rules will be 12 AFTER 3, 10 AFTER 4, 8 AFTER 5.
3. Umpire judgment decisions are FINAL
4. Any protests will be dealt with by USSSA book rule.
5. Good Sportsmanship is expected at all times
6. All teams will be ready to play 20 minutes prior to game time.Game time is forfeit time

 

Please show good sportsmanship, demand that of your players, parents and fans and have fun!  The St Charles Silverhawks and the City of St Charles reserve the right to remove anyone from the premises who exhibits unruly or disruptive behavior.  Abusive language will not be tolerated, and please remember that alcohol is prohibited at the Eastside Sports Complex.  No Alcohol, smoking, vaping or drugs are allowed at the park.
