Thanks to all the teams that competed on a beautiful weekend at Wallace Marine Park. The Unit outlasted Cheerleaders/Outlaws for the tournament win. The two Championship games featured some outstanding defensive plays. Among some of them were a triple play turned by Cheerleaders/Outlaws. Tied at 9 with runners on 1st and 3rd Stevie takes the throw and forces the runner at 2nd and throws side arm to home to catch the runner in a run down. As the catcher tags the runner going back to 3rd the batter-runner breaks for 2nd and gets tagged out at 2nd. The Unit turned a nice double play to win the IF game and the tourney. Balls Deep and Boss Hawgz battled it out in a close game with Balls deep winnig the consolation 13-12. Thanks for playing USSSA! Jeff
