| USSSA End of Summer Showdown August 22-23 2015 Rules and Information Division 8U 10U 12U 14U 18U Event information Cost: $150 Multiple teams pay $125 Out of town teams staying at the host hotel pay $100 (If the event is reduce to 1 day all teams will pay $100) Format: 4gg 2 pool into Double Elimination (If event is reduced to 1 day 3gg 1 pool into Double elimination bracket Facility Greenwood Softball Complex 4501 Greenwood CC TX 78416 Rules A hard copy of your roster must be turned in at team check in Team is responsible for having Birth Certificates. If challenged and team can not supply birth certificate the player may not play. If the game has already started team must forfeit the game if a birth certificate is not available. ITB- Bases Loaded two-outs (Bracket only) Pool games can end in a tie. Free defensive Substitution in pool games USSSA rules in Bracket UIC or Tourney Director has final decision on disputes. Winner takes all in championship game/No If Game Each team must provide 2-yellow leather 47 core balls. Umpire has right to request different/newer balls. Team must pitch/hit what umpire gives them. 10u-14u Pool Games are 55 min 4 run ˝ inning rule 8u is 50 minutes (times may change if 1 day) 10u-14u Brackets are 70 minutes or 6 innings (whichever comes 1st). Finish the inning. Open runs must get 3 outs; 8U is 60 minutes and 6 run limit. (times may change if 1 day) It is the Winning Coach’s responsibility to report game finished to the Tournament director table Mercy rule is in effect 10 runs after 3 8 runs after 4 6 runs after 5. Tournament director has the right to change format of tourney to ensure timely finish All 10u-14u Bracket games will have 2 Umps/ Pool Games will have 1 Ump (8U will have 1 ump except championship will have 2) $15 per team with 1 ump/$30 with 2 umps $5 weekend Gate Fee/no single day passes!!! One team ice chest allowed. Ice chest must be kept in Dugout. No outside food or drinks for fans Flip for home/visitors in all games except Championship. Undefeated team is home team. Coaches or players who show up with Alcohol on your breathe will not be allowed on the field $40 protest fee… if you win you get money back. If you lose fee is forfeited. Weather Contingencies: In case of uncontrollable circumstances or interruptions due to weather the Tournament Director reserves the right to alter the tournament format in any way necessary to reach a conclusion. This can include but may not be limited to shortened game times fewer games guaranteed or playing rule changes. Games interrupted might not be resumed. Everything possible will be done to get the players on the field as soon as possible. Cancellation/Refund Policy: • During the Tournament if the number of games is shortened or cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances such as weather refunds will be given based on the number of games played. 1 Game played = 50% refund. 2 Games played = 25% refund. 3 or more games = no refund. |
